The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside a cutting-edge, scale-up company with a start-up mindset which innovates in the energy industry. They are currently looking for a Regional Director – Asset Optimisation for Japan.
Using Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and advanced data modelling, this client provides Intelligent Energy-as-a-Service to tackle the challenges businesses face as they move towards a Net Zero carbon future. Their multi-award-winning AI “Point” Platform allows businesses to control demand response participation, energy performance, markets, and costs.

The Role:
You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales, marketing, and structural strategies. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term operations for the company.
Responsibilities:
To achieve annual sales, develop new business, and develop opportunities.
Identify potential prospects and build the relationship, and proactively sell the platform service in Japan.
Continuously prospect and develop new business opportunities in line with sales and marketing plans.
Support and be involved in product development activities, trends, and competitor analysis, and engage and integrate (potential) partners in Japan to expand the market share and capabilities.
What you will have:
Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the energy industry.
Related with on-site batteries, technology platform expertise to optimize micro-grids, smart trading in all markets-arbitrage. Capacity market, Fast response market, JPEX.
Active attitude, excellent communication skills, confident.
Ability to conduct business-level meetings and influence at high levels in the organization.
Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage directly with target company senior management.
Capability to work at their Yokohama-Minatomirai office and from home effectively and efficiently.
Communication skills, both written and verbal in Japanese and English
