• ​Conceptualize and develop new and innovative opportunities/projects to improve yield, efficiency, reliability and or profitability to the business.

• Keep up to date with scientific research in the relevant fields and where applicable present findings to the technical team and wider business.

• Conduct projects to further develop the business – plan and conduct required experiments and present finings in a report.

• Perform Biomethane Potential (BMP) tests on anaerobic digestion (AD) feedstocks, evaluate results and present findings in a report.

• Perform residual biomethane potential (RBP) tests on anaerobic digestate and present findings in a report.

• Perform routine tests on AD feedstocks and digesters

• Undertake additional tests and small projects to improve operational efficiency and environmental compliance.

• Plan, set-up and conduct experiments in lab-scale continuous reactors to analyse novel feedstocks and improve operational performance.

• Provide analytical support across the business (e.g., QA testing).

• Assist in lab management through stock management and routine equipment check.
