Job description
Developand implement reliability test protocols for materials and final products in the cell production line, establishing methodologies to assess durability, performance, and safety under various conditions.
Analyze test results to identify potential failure modes and provide actionable recommendations for design or process improvements.
Oversee the daily operations of the reliability test lab, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards through equipment maintenance and calibration.
Develop and enforce safety and quality control procedures within the lab environment to maintain a safe and productive workspace.
Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to provide data-driven insights for process enhancements and support root cause analysis (RCA) for product failures.
Participate in new material qualification and validation processes, providing feedback for design or material modifications.
Ensure all testing procedures comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, ASTM) and maintain detailed documentation of test results for audits and quality assurance purposes.
Stay updated on the latest testing technologies and methodologies in cell production and energy storage, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in testing processes.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in battery/cell manufacturing, energy storage, or related industries is preferred.
Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and failure analysis techniques.
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO 9001, ASTM, MIL-STD) related to battery and material testing.
Hands-on experience with test equipment such as environmental chambers, mechanical stress testers, and electrochemical analyzers.
Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP), and reporting.
Ability to manage lab operations, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
