Job description

  • Developand implement reliability test protocols for materials and final products in the cell production line, establishing methodologies to assess durability, performance, and safety under various conditions.

  • Analyze test results to identify potential failure modes and provide actionable recommendations for design or process improvements.

  • Oversee the daily operations of the reliability test lab, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards through equipment maintenance and calibration.

  • Develop and enforce safety and quality control procedures within the lab environment to maintain a safe and productive workspace.

  • Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to provide data-driven insights for process enhancements and support root cause analysis (RCA) for product failures.

  • Participate in new material qualification and validation processes, providing feedback for design or material modifications.

  • Ensure all testing procedures comply with relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, ASTM) and maintain detailed documentation of test results for audits and quality assurance purposes.

  • Stay updated on the latest testing technologies and methodologies in cell production and energy storage, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in testing processes.

Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience in battery/cell manufacturing, energy storage, or related industries is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles and failure analysis techniques.

  • Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, ISO 9001, ASTM, MIL-STD) related to battery and material testing.

  • Hands-on experience with test equipment such as environmental chambers, mechanical stress testers, and electrochemical analyzers.

  • Proficiency in data analysis, statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP), and reporting.

  • Ability to manage lab operations, ensure compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
