QA/QC Inspector - Onshore Wind Farm - Saudi Arabia

*3 x Separate roles available for: Civil, Electrical, Turbines*

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Inspector to join our team as we embark on a large-scale onshore wind farm project in Saudi Arabia. As a QA/QC Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation and compliance of quality assurance and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle. This position is with the owner-operator of the wind farm, and you will be responsible for overseeing the construction, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance activities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and enforce quality assurance and quality control procedures and standards in compliance with industry regulations and project requirements.

  2. Conduct inspections, audits, and tests to verify compliance with project specifications, design standards, and applicable codes.

  3. Monitor and evaluate the quality of construction activities, including civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural works, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.

  4. Perform regular inspections of equipment, materials, and components to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards.

  5. Review project documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, and reports, to identify and address potential quality issues or non-conformities.

  6. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality-related concerns, providing technical expertise and guidance as necessary.

  7. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality deviations and improve overall project performance.

  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of quality inspections, test results, and non-conformities, ensuring proper tracking and resolution of identified issues.

  9. Participate in project progress meetings and provide regular updates on quality assurance and control activities, highlighting areas of concern and recommending mitigation measures.

  10. Keep abreast of industry best practices, standards, and emerging trends in wind farm construction and quality management, and apply this knowledge to enhance project execution and deliverables.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles, specifically in large-scale onshore wind projects.

  3. Strong knowledge of international standards and best practices related to wind farm construction and quality management.

  4. Proven experience in conducting inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

  5. Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations governing wind farm construction, commissioning, and maintenance.

  6. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues.

  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.

  8. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively within a team environment.

  9. Proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time.

  10. Proficient in using MS Office applications and other relevant software for documentation and reporting purposes.
