Job description

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy developer dedicated to accelerating the energy transition through impactful, scalable onshore wind and solar projects across Sweden. With a robust pipeline and a commitment to delivering clean, secure energy, they are seeking a skilled Project Manager to join their dynamic, mission-driven team.

This is an opportunity to take a key role in the successful delivery of renewable energy assets from concept through to construction and beyond.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of utility-scale wind and solar projects—from early-stage development and permitting through to procurement, construction and handover.

You will work closely with internal technical, commercial, and permitting teams, as well as external stakeholders, landowners, contractors and regulatory authorities. Your ability to coordinate complex projects, manage risks, and build trusted relationships will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of onshore wind and solar projects in Sweden.

  • Manage cross-functional teams across development, permitting, engineering and construction.

  • Oversee budgets, timelines, stakeholder engagement and risk mitigation.

  • Ensure projects remain compliant with regulatory, environmental and grid requirements.

  • Support land acquisition, grid connection and commercial structuring efforts.

  • Coordinate with external consultants, contractors and legal counsel.

  • Report on project status and milestones to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector (wind and/or solar).

  • Demonstrated track record of managing multi-stakeholder energy projects in Sweden or the Nordic region.

  • Strong knowledge of permitting processes, grid regulations, and energy market dynamics.

  • Swedish language skills are strongly preferred; English fluency is essential.

  • Team-oriented, commercially aware, and capable of working autonomously.

  • A degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or a related field.
