Job description
The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have exclusively partnered, with a new joint-venture, focused on acquiring, developing & operating energy storage assets, across the UK.
The business have already secured, one of the largest battery storage sites, in the world, plus have an impressive pipeline of storage capacity & projects, targeting a portfolio, in excess of 1.5GW in the UK, by 2027.
As momentum continues with this new & exciting, joint-venture - the shareholders seek a Senior Project Manager, to drive the delivery of these BESS Projects.
Responsibilities;
Support the development and construction management of company’s projects
Manage multiple projects from inception to completion
Liaise and manage TO/DNO, ICP and EPC contractors, suppliers, utilities, permitting authorities and advisers
Liaise with equipment manufacturers and HV/LV electrical designers
Attend initial site surveys and identify the optimal route for the utility infrastructure working closely with the appointed team
Define scope of works and interfaces between third parties
Create Risk assessments and Method statements (RAMS) and ensure full Health & Safety compliance
Supervise site acceptance tests and market qualification testing
Manage the procurement process on projects in line with programme and requirements
Requirements;
Significant experience in and clear understanding of the UK renewable energy and BESS market
Strong track record and experience in working with DNOs, TSO, national grid, and related service providers
A minimum experience of three (3) years in managing the development (construction) of renewable energy projects in the UK, including EPC contractors & related service providers within the renewable energy
A minimum experience of three (3) years of direct experience with engaging with National Grid on grid connections to transmission systems of National Grid projects in the UK
