PROJECT MANAGER – Onshore Renewables
Location: Lanarkshire, Scotland
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
A leading developer of utility scale onshore wind projects in Scotland, who are seeking a Development Project Manager to drive their pipeline of projects forward. In this role, you will develop and maintain a business relationship with the community and relevant landowners, to deliver of projects through each phase of development, resulting in well designed and constructed sites. There will be a need to lead and advise on environmental surveys on EIA and non-EIA projects, as well as local planning legislation.
Your Profile:
- Lead and advise on environmental surveys on EIA and non-EIA projects, utilising knowledge of environmental and planning legislation
- Contribute to preliminary and detailed multidisciplinary technical studies during the prospecting, site assessment, EIA, consenting and design phases of all renewable developments
- Working with in-house legal, contract and secure land agreements with landowners required for all aspects of a project
- Develop and maintain a business relationship with the community & relevant landowners and/or tenants to include full discussions on the financial and legal ramifications of development
- To assist in the preparation of technical reports and, when needed, participate in the presentation of the results of technical studies
- Use available software tools to analyse sites and carry out site surveys to identify the viability for commercial wind/renewable projects
- Use available software tools to refine maps and plans, photomontages and other map or design-based documents to improve sites and in the submission of supporting statements of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for planning applications
- Arrange & attend site and community visits and meetings
- Deliver excellent community engagement at every stage of a project
- Liaise effectively with team members to ensure the projects are suitably supported
- Prepare and deliver (at meetings or by e-mail) progress reports for each project managed
- Support teammates’ personal and professional aspirations by contributing to a positive working environment
- Lead on the delivery of projects through each phase of development, resulting in well designed and constructed sites
