Job description
Join a globally integrated renewables developer that specialises in the development, financing, EPC, O&M as well as asset management of solar power plants. With European origins my client has a portfolio that surpasses 1GWp worldwide and conducts business with over 50 countries globally. With a focus on project development your role will be responsible for contracts negotiation and transactional support across all new and on-going solar and storage projects in the domestic pipeline.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage project development from greenfield stages to operational stages.
- Collaborate with the Head of Market as well as the Regional Director to effectively finish existing projects in the pipeline.
- Manage projects in accordance with budget, schedules, milestones, and deliverables targets.
- Review of project contracts such as PPAs, interconnection agreements, leases, EPC as well as O&M contracts.
- Liaise with all aspects of the project lifecycle i.e., Engineering, legal, finance, project, and accounting.
- Collaborate closely with the finance department to ensure adequate feasibility analysis and evaluation of project debt and equity finance.
- Manage contractors, vendors as well as consultants to stay within budget parameters and maintain project timeline targets.
- Secure the necessary permits and ensure environmental compliance throughout the development, construction, and operation of projects.
- Provide advisory on project interconnection requests, load-flow, and congestion studies as well as other variables to ensure project transmission.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field
- 3 + years’ experience working within the solar industry.
- Demonstrated track record of project management of large-scale solar projects.
- Understanding the structure of large-scale renewables projects
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders from different cultures.
- Strong interpersonal skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
