Job description
This role is responsible for overseeing the production execution within a high-achieving photovoltaic (solar cell) manufacturing facility known for setting industry benchmarks in performance and quality. The Production Operation Manager will optimize resources and work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in operational standards. The role involves contributing to strategic planning, executing production targets, and engaging with teams across multiple shifts to achieve sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards as per company and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement equipment reliability systems, including autonomous and preventive maintenance, to sustain and enhance production uptime.
Establish and refine process control systems to minimize product and process variability.
Collaborate with leadership peers to train and develop manufacturing team members on standard operating procedures and core skills.
Oversee the execution of daily, weekly, and monthly production plans, ensuring adherence to established manufacturing standards.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across the value stream to improve material usage and labor productivity.
Manage all aspects of 24/7 production operations, using shift performance analysis to ensure effective and efficient direction-setting.
Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 5 years of experience in a production leadership role within a related high-tech manufacturing industry.
Experience in process and value stream startup management.
In-depth understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
Strong project management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement abilities.
Effective communication, influence, and collaboration skills.
