Job description

The Role

The Green Recruitment Company have recently been engaged by one of the Big Six Energy Companies to find a Procurement Manager to work on their Energy Efficiency portfolio. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with product Managers and Procurement to ensure the most effective and fit for purpose supply chain strategy and supply chain operations for the Energy Efficiency projects. This person works cross the three levels namely:  Supply chain strategy, Supply chain local tactics and supply chain day to day operations to ensure that the sourcing works both strategically (on frame agreement level) but especially also operationally with local buyers for projects. This person ensures that the KPI’s we put in place in frame agreements are also operationalized to manage the supplier performance and that product managers can properly understand the costing of their products and standardize

 

Role Objectives  

  • Support Energy Efficiency managers and project delivery to ensure the correct supply chain for products and services
  • Support local procurement and project delivery to ensure the supply chain for key/important projects
  • Key liaison between the Energy Efficiency team and the main procurement/ supply chain organization
  • Define the supply chain and sourcing strategy for Energy Efficiency products
  • Support local procurement teams to understand and implement the defined strategy
  • Consider technical requirements , time, cost & quality needs in the development of sourcing specifications
  • Align with the Central procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the strategy is executed accurately in line with specifications
  • Support Central procurement and supply chain teams and energy efficiency quality management to carry our supplier audits and supplier development tasks
  • Support local project delivery teams with operational procurement
  • Display a pro-active approach to operational improvements

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or similar
  • Experience working in a procurement role, ideally within the energy industry
  • Experience implementing regional strategies
  • Experience implementing effective procurement processes
  • Skilled in liaising with key stakeholders
  • Ideally experience in managing supplier relations
  • Positive attitude
  • Ideally knowledge of suppliers, markets and trends
  • Technically minded
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical
  • Strong MS Office and SAP skills
  • Knowledge of Procurement e-tools
  • Able to travel nationally
