​Principal Safety Engineer

Location: United Kingdom

Contract Duration: 10 months

Rate: £60 per hour

Role Overview:

We are collaborating with a pioneering power generation client seeking a dedicated Principal Safety Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety engineering, preferably within the power generation sector, and will be passionate about fostering safe working environments.

Responsibilities:

• Review, assess, and enhance safety processes and protocols within power generation facilities.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety standards are met and exceeded.

• Provide technical guidance on safety-related challenges and improvements.

• Monitor and analyse safety metrics, drawing insights and recommending action plans.

• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and training sessions.

• Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards and regulations.

• Provide leadership in safety-related projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on Safety or a related field.

• Proven experience in safety engineering, ideally within the power generation industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Familiarity with UK safety standards and regulations.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
