The Green Recruitment Company are delighted to have partnered with an asset management firm specialising in the development and management of renewable energy and power generation assets.
The business to date, have secured over 2GWh of Battery Storage and have over 600MWh of projects in development, and have secured funding from an exceptional Investment Management Company.
Manage grid connections activities on transmission and distribution networks including grid applications, review/evaluation of grid offer and connection options, supervision of the connection work.
General design of grid scale battery storage system including SLD, power system and grid code compliance study, equipment sizing and specifications.
Technical support for the procurement of battery storage system and ICP/BoP equipment
Technical support for ICP and BoP tendering
Identify the project specific constraints, specify technical requirements and collaborate with the contractors to optimise the system design and engineering solutions.
Assist Project Manager to monitor project development process and review technical deliveries throughout the design, construction and commissioning.
Supervision of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and/or Site Acceptance Test (SAT)
Attend technical meetings with key stakeholders (EPC, NG/DNO, Technical Due Diligence, ...).
Technical assessment of new BESS projects in the development portfolio
Proven knowledge of power system studies, UK Grid Code and connection compliance requirements, e.g. G99, P28, G5,…
Ability of keeping up-to-date with new products / technology and technology advancements in the industry
Commercial awareness of system design and engineering solutions
Excellent communication skills and collaboration abilities desirable
Knowledge of Li-ion battery, inverter, BESS integration including control, protection, safety design and regulation requirements
Experience with design software DIgSILENT or ETAP
Experience with grid application process
Experience in grid battery storage plant
Bachelor or Master degree in engineering (with a specialism in Electrical Power Engineering or equivalent)
