Summary:
A leading renewable consultancy are seeking a Principal Power System Engineer for their renewable energy division. As Principal Power System Engineer you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of engineering services for solar, wind and storage projects across Australia. This vacancy will suit an experienced Power Systems expert, with a passion for power system analysis and grid modelling using PSS/E, PSCAD and/or DigSilent/Powerfactory.
Your responsibilities will include:
· Provide expertise and support across a range of projects as the Lead Engineer
· Delivery power systems studies for solar/wind and storage projects across Australia
· Manage power systems project management for current projects
· Carry out work within legislative and industry standards, accreditation schemes and adhering to internal procedures
· Prepare deliverables within timescales and other agreed parameters of exceptional quality
· Ensure grid connection processes are resolved in a timely manner
· Undertake GPS, R2 testing, and AEMO generator registration
· Identify new business opportunities for future work
· Knowledge share across the business
· Participate in project proposals
· Review of BoP design
· Other responsibilities where required
Requirements needed from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering subject minimum
- 8+ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of network planning and analysis
- Strong communication, teamwork and mentoring experience
- Eligibility to live and work in Australia
- Knowledge of generator performance standards
