​As the Principal Engineer, you will be a key figure in driving technical excellence, innovation, and strategic growth in the field of carbon capture technologies. This role is for an industry-leading professional with a proven track record in energy engineering, specifically in CCUS. The Principal Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership, shaping the direction of projects, and contributing to the overall success of our consultancy.

The consultancy is actively seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Energy Engineering Professional to assume the role of Principal Engineer. This critical position will be instrumental in advancing our Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) capabilities and expanding our project capacity to meet the evolving demands of the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as subject matter expert on carbon capture innovation / R&D projects.

  • Stakeholder engagement – acting as company representative on Client engagements/projects, advising on technical matters as appropriate.

  • In addition, stay at the forefront of advancements in CCUS technologies, ensuring our consultancy remains a leader in the field.

  • Furthermore, drive innovation by leading research initiatives and staying informed about emerging technologies in CCUS.

  • Identify opportunities for the development of proprietary solutions and patents together with Technical bid management.

  • Mentor and guide a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Moreover, lead knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the professional growth of team members.

  • Ensure all business activities are delivered safely & HSE championed within all deliverables.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for CCUS projects in alignment with the company's goals and industry trends.

  • Collaborate with project teams to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.

  • Additionally, overseeing the full, EPC value chain as appropriate on projects.

  • Represent the company as a thought leader at industry conferences, workshops, and events.

  • Lastly, contribute to the development of white papers, publications, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree education in Engineering Discipline, a minimum requirement.

  • Comprehensive exposure to the energy industry, dealing with technical issues/projects.

  • Experience working within an innovation or R&D environment is highly advantageous.

  • Furthermore, comfortable working within a high-paced environment.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering large-scale CCUS projects.

  • In addition, strong leadership and strategic planning skills of a technical team

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Lastly, an in-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
