Role Overview:

The PPA Originator will play a crucial role in sourcing, structuring, and originating Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with a focus on delivering clean, renewable energy to corporate clients. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in energy markets, contract negotiation, and client relationship management, looking to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Originate PPAs:

  Identify, approach, and secure new corporate clients for long-term renewable energy PPAs, ensuring alignment with their sustainability and energy goals.

• Market Analysis:

  Stay abreast of market trends, energy pricing dynamics, and regulatory changes to provide clients with the best possible PPA solutions.

• Negotiation & Structuring:

  Lead the negotiation of PPA terms, working closely with legal, finance, and project teams to deliver attractive, bankable agreements.

• Client Relationship Management:

  Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, understanding their energy needs and sustainability strategies.

• Cross-functional Collaboration:

  Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., legal, technical, commercial) to ensure smooth contract execution and successful project delivery.

• Business Development:

  Contribute to the expansion of the business, identifying new opportunities and supporting the team’s growth in the UK and international markets.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in corporate PPA origination, energy trading, or a related role within the renewable energy or power sectors.

• Strong knowledge of energy markets, corporate energy procurement, and the renewable energy landscape.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to structure complex energy contracts and financial models.

• A proactive, self-starter attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
