Job title: Power Conversion Systems Engineer

Location: United States (Remote)

TGRC is excited to be partnering with a multinational battery manufacturer to appoint a Power Conversion Systems Engineer. This client designs, develops, produces and services batteries in 19 countries with a team of 4000 people. They are committed to energy that is affordable, clean, reliable, and accessible. The Power Conversion Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support for Power Conversion Systems and Medium Voltage Power Stations during pre-sales, projects, commissioning, and serial life.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the technical side of tenders for projects related to PCS and MVPS.

  • Liaising with the purchasing department on quotations for tenders.

  • Providing support to the customer and development teams during project planning.

  • Managing product datasheets.

  • Leading supplier negotiations in connection with the purchasing, customer, engineering, quality, and project management teams.

  • Customization of the electrical system to fit customer requirements and market regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with an established manufacturer of power conversion systems or inverters.

  • Experience with dimensioning and modeling at the AC level.

  • Understanding of inverters and associated transformers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Grid Codes.
