Job description

Scope of role

Our client is looking for someone to assist the origination team in identifying development opportunities, negotiating transactions to secure land rights for those opportunities, and working through the necessary due diligence processes. You will be assisting in the development and build-out of utility-scale solar and battery storage projects throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with the wider Development team to identify new development opportunities and undertaking initial desk-based and in-field land feasibility studies for those new opportunities
  • Walking the boundaries of solar development sites and ensuring all plans are correct and up to date
  • Maintaining our document storage systems
  • Doing quality checks against internal project management systems.
  • Responsible for uploading relevant documents from external companies to our own data repository system
  • Collating and chasing up all legal search results from our external solicitors, filing the searches, and reproducing all results onto relevant development plans
  • Inputting into the wider development strategy for each project and providing project information to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting the land team with cable route easements
  • Managing relationships with landowners

Experience / Requirements

  • Ideally, 2+ years of experience securing land rights for renewable energy project
  • We will consider an outstanding graduate, but you will need to make us comfortable that you will excel in a fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision
  • Full driver’s license
