​Job Title: Freelance Package Manager - Offshore Wind (Europe)

Pay Rate: EUR 400-600

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading offshore wind energy company, is seeking an experienced Freelance Package Manager to manage the package of work associated with the design, procurement, and installation of offshore wind turbines in Europe. As a Package Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of the package on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. You will be working on a freelance basis, reporting directly to the client's Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and experienced professional to contribute to the growth of renewable energy projects in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the delivery of the offshore wind turbine package, including design, procurement, and installation, in compliance with quality and safety standards

• Develop and maintain relationships with the project team, including project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project schedules are met and projects are delivered within budget

• Collaborate with the client's supply chain team to ensure that procurement activities are carried out efficiently and according to project requirements

• Coordinate the installation activities with the installation contractor, ensuring that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards

• Manage the documentation related to the package of work, ensuring that all records are accurate, complete, and up-to-date

• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates on package activities and issues

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in offshore wind package management, preferably in Europe

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures related to offshore wind turbine design, procurement, and installation

• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of contractors and subcontractors

• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

• Fluency in English (both written and verbal)

• Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines and changing priorities

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred

• Relevant certification in health and safety/project management

Working Conditions:

• This is a freelance position for the duration of the offshore wind turbine package, expected to be 12-18 months in length

• Work is conducted on-site at the offshore wind project, with some work in an office setting

• Work schedules may vary and require weekend or overtime work, as needed
