Position: Principal Consultant – Onshore Renewables

Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa (Remote)

Your Role:

As the Principal Consultant, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and converting consultancy opportunities within the onshore renewables sector. Managing multi-disciplined teams of engineers and consultants, you will oversee the successful delivery of projects while achieving financial targets. Joining our management team, you'll share the responsibility for driving ambitious business growth.

Your Profile:

  • Experience: 8 to 10 years in the utility-scale renewable energy market as a developer, contractor, engineer, or consultant.

  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.

  • Skills: Project management, MS Office proficiency, technical expertise in onshore renewable projects, report writing, and commercial acumen.

  • Ambassadorship: Represent and promote our technical excellence within the global Group.

  • Initiative: Ability to coordinate, direct, and lead projects independently.

  • Business Development: Good sales techniques, understanding of commercial and contractual issues, and guidance provision to clients.

  • Industry Knowledge: Keen interest in and knowledge of offshore wind farm industry and project management.

  • Team Development: Experience in managing and developing large teams of engineers, fostering a coaching and mentoring culture.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong team player, outgoing, pragmatic, and a role model for the engineering and project group.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of numerical accuracy, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize work.

  • Education: Qualified degree in Engineering (minimum NQF 7).
