Job Title: Offshore Wind Procurement Manager - WTG

Location: Germany

Contract: 12-24 month contract with possibility of extension

Pay Rate: €600 per day

Our client, a leading Offshore Wind Developer in Germany, is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager - WTG to join their team on a 12-24 month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for wind turbine generators (WTGs) and related components, including negotiating contracts with suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that meet project requirements and deliver value for money

  • Lead the procurement process for WTGs and related components, from supplier identification to contract negotiation and supplier management

  • Work closely with project management and engineering teams to understand project requirements and ensure that procurement activities are aligned with project timelines and budgets

  • Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring that they deliver on their contractual obligations

  • Monitor and report on procurement performance, including supplier performance, cost savings, and supply chain risk

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or a related field, with specific experience in the procurement of wind turbine generators and related components

  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and techniques, including contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost management

  • Experience in the renewable energy industry, preferably in the offshore wind sector

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Fluent in German and English
