Job description
My client are a leading player in global offshore wind, who have a large project beginning in Taiwan, they are looking for a few expert individuals to join their international team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Offshore Substation Package Manager to join my client's Engineering department and become part of the project team for a development project in Taiwan. You will be responsible for the design, procurement, delivery, installation, and commissioning of the offshore substation topsides to be successfully handed over to operations.
Responsbilities:
Responsible for all aspects of the offshore substation topside scope, across the development and delivery phases of the project.
Leading and managing WHSES within the offshore substation package.
Develop, maintain and deliver the offshore substation package execution plan which shall cover the scope, design and delivery risks, plans, schedule and interfaces.
Plan resources, mobilize and lead the offshore substation project team - to ensure that sufficient resource is applied to deliver the work package and that project staff are provided with the required direction and support.
Coordinate the external resources required to deliver this package including suppliers, consultants and manufacturers. Including oversee and manage relevant handover procedures for package ensuring seamless integration between stages and mitigating interface issues between contractors.
Your profile:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (minimum), PLUS at least five years of project management experience for large EPC projects in either development or construction, ideally in offshore substation topside topic for offshore wind or other offshore industry.
Safety leader with knowledge of health and safety and environmental legislation and best practice associated with construction projects.
Experience of working within CDM projects, HSE audits, design risk assessment and method statement production and reviews.
Extensive knowledge of offshore substation technology including supply chain and market conditions.
Knowledge of fabrication codes and standards (e.g. DNV, EEMUA) and offshore substation standards (e.g. DNV-OS- J201 or DNVGL-ST-0145) is desirable.
Knowledge of PMI or PMP certified or APM certified is desirable.
Fluent English speaking is required.
