Job description

​​Job title: O&M Asset Manager

Location: South East England (Hybrid)

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Responsibilities:

  • Take overall ownership for a portfolio of ground mount solar pv plants and ensuring that all O&M works are undertaken in accordance with the agreed contractual scope,

  • Customer Relations – Primary contact for clients, managing all customer queries, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and to the highest standards

  • Contract Management – management of all contracts and agreements associated with the sites, ensuring that all requirements and obligations are met

  • Operations Management – Managing internal and external resources to plan works with production maximisation as the goal and to manage the work calendar of the O&M teams, review and enhance maintenance strategies. Undertake site visits. Primary planner for outsourced O&M activities.

  • Technical Analysis – performing detailed technical analysis to determine factors and trends that impact production and asset life, including the management of fault tickets, keeping to contractual obligations and response times, optimise project performance

  • Contractor Management – measuring contractor performance, ensuring all obligations are met, defining and measuring KPI’s to ensure value to the customer

  • Information Management – Ensuring all historical data and documentation is complete and available to the customer. Regular and ad-hoc reporting

  • HSEQ – Implement H&S best practices, including management of RAMS, raising Work Orders and arranging Site Inductions, and ensure that all activities are carried out under the approved UK HSE system, including CDM regulations

Skills Required

  • Education – Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or other relevant discipline; consideration will be given to those without but with significant experience in a similar role

  • Experience – a minimum of 1 years previous experience with Asset Management of solar assets or similar technologies

  • Industry Knowledge – understanding of solar technology, solar farm operations, SCADA systems and UK HSE legislation

  • Contract Management – Proven track record with managing contracts; able to read, understand and enforce contracts effectively

  • Analysis – attention to detail, able to manipulate and assess data to see patterns and trends

  • Communication – customer orientated with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at all levels, both written and verbally
