Summary:

A leading renewable energy developer are seeking a Managing Director to facilitate and lead local growth in Australia. As the Managing Director you will have overall responsibility for the Australian portfolio of renewable energy projects and the attached responsibility of growing senior management team.

Tasks Include:

  • Manage commercial decision making of the solar portfolio under development
  • Review of new solar sites for key commercial risks
  • Setting and reviewing project specific development budgets as well as the overall Branch budget
  • Reviewing and approving project company financial statements
  • Reviewing resourcing requirements and enacting resource plans as required to reach the corporate targets
  • Agreeing corporate targets (P&L targets) with Board on an annual basis and monitoring performance of these targets
  • Formulating a commercial strategy to achieve the P&L targets with the secured and future  development portfolio
  • Managing and reviewing compliance with local laws and standards including operating with the companies Work Health and Safety Management System
  • Keeping up to date with key industry event, regulations and investment landscape
  • Leading new Mergers and Acquisitions work
  • Reviewing and presenting business development activities around solar projects for presentation to the board

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

  • At least 7 years experience of management or engineering management
  • Significant experience within renewable energy
  • Bachelors and Masters degree will be highly sort after
  • Strategic perspective, strong analytical mind
  • Proven commercial mindset               
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management capabilities
  • Team leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Salary Package: $200,000 + Super + Bonus
