​​​The Green Recruitment Company are pleased to present, a fantastic Managing Director - Energy Storage, position to the European Cleantech market - in support of a very exciting, high-growth Client.

This Client have scaled exponentially in the past 2+ years, with circa 2.5 GW of live development activity in play, across European wind, solar & battery projects, soon converting their Developer status to IPP.

With the additional growth of energy storage development opportunities for the business, they now seek an astute, well versed energy storage subject matter expert, to join, head up, shape & lead, the newly formed energy storage business unit.

High level overview of desired responsibilities:

  • To Identify, create & implement a business plan and/or strategy to develop and commercialise energy storage assets across Europe.

  • Full European market identification, assessment & penetration for energy storage, leveraging the businesses prior successes & network.

  • Drive entrepreneurial, professional, cost conscious and honest corporate culture and values

  • Lead also, as required, with the wider business – any recruitment requirements for this new, energy storage team – recruiting a diverse team with analytical & transactional competences to commercialise projects globally.

  • Lead the development of investment base case for the business oversee energy storage investment committee submissions.

  • Support & set clear KPIs to the business unit.

  • Acting as a true-thought leader to business & subject matter expert to

  • Work in cooperation with the finance team, facilitating efficient monitoring of projects budgets, bookkeeping, and reporting to lenders.

Requirements;

  • Significant experience in and clear understanding of the European renewable energy and BESS market

  • A successful track record penetrating new markets on behalf of a renewable energy or cleantech business.

  • Strong track record and experience working with DNOs, TSOs and related service providers

  • Experience building a team (preferable)

  • A pro-active approach with the ability to take a strategic overview as well as working in a hands-on fashion

  • Proven experience in working with Route to Market providers and asset managing the revenue stack.

This is a fantastic, well remunerated opportunity, to drive & shape a new division within an already successful business.
