My client, a leading Sustainability Consultancy, are seeking an experienced Managing Consultant to be a senior member of their agricultural value chain practice. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the environmental and social impacts of agricultural value chains, and a track record of delivering sustainable solutions to improve their performance.
Leading and managing a team of consultants to deliver sustainable solutions to clients within the agricultural value chain space.
Building and maintaining relationships with key clients within the agricultural and consumer goods space industry, including farmers, processors, retailers, and NGOs.
Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the agricultural value chain space, and developing proposals for potential clients.
Developing and implementing sustainable solutions to improve the performance of agricultural value chains, such as certification schemes, supply chain mapping, and stakeholder engagement.
Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on sustainability issues within the agricultural value chain.
Collaborating with other teams within the consultancy to deliver integrated sustainability solutions.
Preparing reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients.
GHG Reporting (Scope 1,2 and 3)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainability consulting, with a focus on agricultural value chains.
Proven experience managing teams of consultants.
Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainable solutions within agricultural value chains.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
A degree in agriculture, environmental science, or a related field.
Knowledge of sustainability standards and certifications, such as Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, and UTZ.
Experience working with remote teams and in cross-cultural environments.
Proven experience in business development and building client relationships.
