Job description
Our client is a leading U.S.-based energy transition platform focused on the development, construction, and ownership of utility-scale renewable energy and storage projects. Backed by a top-tier global investment firm, the company is actively developing a multi-gigawatt pipeline of solar and storage projects to accelerate decarbonization across the economy.
Position Overview:
The M&A Manager/Director will be a key member of the corporate development team, responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing M&A transactions and strategic partnerships across the energy transition sector. This role requires a deep understanding of renewable energy markets, financial modeling expertise, and proven transactional experience.
This candidate must have supported M&A transactions for renewable energy projects in the US market.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and closing.
Evaluate strategic investment opportunities in renewable energy, storage, and energy infrastructure platforms.
Develop complex financial models and investment memos to support decision-making.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, technical, and development teams.
Support capital markets activities, including equity and debt financings.
Monitor market trends and identify potential acquisition or partnership targets.
Maintain relationships with developers, advisors, bankers, and counterparties.
Qualifications:
5–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or project finance, with a focus on energy or infrastructure.
Strong proficiency in M&A execution, due diligence, and financial modeling.
Deep understanding of power markets, energy transition technologies, and project finance structures.
Experience with renewable project valuation and commercial structuring (e.g. PPAs, tax equity, debt).
MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred, but not required.
