Job description

The Role:

  • Taking the lead in engaging with clients and raising capital, as well as overseeing the tasks of the Investor Relations department for our private equity fund mandates, with a particular emphasis on renewables.

  • Managing client acquisition, investor due diligence, and transaction execution by generating interest in our impact investment offerings and expanding our client base, primarily in the EU, with additional attention to Switzerland, the UK, and the US.

  • Contributing to the formulation of a marketing strategy, including positioning, customer journey, enhancement of marketing materials, organizing events and webinars.

  • Assisting in the development and introduction of new products.

  • Continuously driving process improvements in operations.

  • Supervising research efforts related to impact investing and overseeing lead generation activities.

  • Steering the post-sales process, including investor reporting, ongoing relationship management, and cross-selling.

The Individual:

  • A university degree in economics, finance, business administration, or a related field.

  • Relevant and substantial professional experience, particularly in sales within the renewable energy sector, preferably involving private equity products. Experience in emerging market investments and/or sustainable/impact investing is a valuable asset.

  • Strong sales skills with the ability to incorporate regulatory requirements into processes.

  • A robust network of investors, advisors, and placement agents, especially for promoting private equity products.

  • A client-focused mindset, along with open and engaging communication abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and prior experience in the UK, US, and/or Nordic markets is advantageous.

  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, a proven team-oriented approach, high self-motivation, a results-driven attitude, and a hands-on approach.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English, ideally with proficiency in German.
