Job description

​TGRC is working with a leading renewable developer who are looking for a Land Referencer / GIS Technician – Renewables to join their team.

The right candidate will use Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies to collect, analyse, and present spatial data. You will be expected to contribute to various land referencing projects and maintain accurate and up-to-date information and data.

Responsibilities:

  • Use GIS software and tools to input, update, manipulate, analyse, and present geographical data.

  • Review and interpret maps, aerial photographs, survey reports, and other geographical or topographic data.

  • Carry out land referencing tasks including title deed plans and boundaries interpretation.

  • Work with the Land Management Team to identify suitable sites that would accommodate Solar PV and Battery Storage developments and produce letters and introductory packs to send out to Landowners.

  • Assist with statutory notices and Land Referencing Reports for infrastructure and development projects.

  • Perform quality assurance of GIS data and related maps.

  • Assist in preparing, maintaining, and updating land use databases.

  • Reporting to the Senior Land Referencing Manager.

  • Communicate and liaise with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary data.

  • Assist with all other duties as assigned within the land referencing team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Land Surveying, or a related field.

  • Prior experience using ESRI ArcGIS software.

  • Basic understanding of land referencing and UK property legislation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with CAD software would be advantageous.
