Client

My client are a leading UK renewable developer who are looking to expand the current land acquisition team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • ​Liaising with internal Grid and GIS (mapping) teams to oversee the flow of new grid

  • opportunities from the point of inception through to legal exchange

  • Overseeing and leading the company’s retained agents in a targeted search for land

  • Carrying out initial planning feasibility and financial analysis on sites in conjunction with

  • GIS and Grid teams where grid opportunities haves been identified

  • Undertaking site visits and recording relevant project data within the company’s GIS

  • system

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our landowners, agents and consultants

  • Thinking about projects in the round to allow them the best chance of success, including

  • for example tying together multiple land deals, seeking to minimise project costs and

  • mitigating planning risk

  • Leading the negotiation on heads-of-terms for options to lease, options to purchase

  • Liaising with the Company’s retained land agents while they assist in obtaining signed

  • heads of terms and other associated agreements

  • Leading the negotiation on formal option to lease and option to purchase documents.

  • Liaising with the Company’s solicitors on all legal documentation and due diligence

  • associated with the projects’ property transactions

  • Where necessary, negotiating or supporting negotiation on any necessary easements, and

  • wayleaves and AHA surrender agreements for the projects

  • Where necessary, supporting the project managers in managing all local project

  • stakeholders throughout your involvement in the project

  • Track and manage costs associated with Live Projects through to legal exchange

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including keeping project

  • tracker spreadsheets up to date and presenting weekly and monthly updates to internal

  • stakeholders where required
