Key Account Manager

£31,000 - £36,000 (OTE £60K+)
The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be working with a public sector energy management business, focused on delivering their customer's net zero carbon targets.
The business is seeking an enthusiastic Energy Account Manager who will contribute towards building a sales pipeline & manage growing portfolio of customer accounts and develop strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for growing and retaining customer portfolio.
Prepare strategies/account plans which will identify key customer risks, retention and developing new business opportunities.
Regularly hold account management meetings & conference calls with customers.
Manage full end-to-end contract process to successfully on-board customers onto new contracts or services.
Establish strategic relationships with key decision makers at customer organisations, including senior stakeholder engagement.
Utilising CRM efficiently and demonstrating effective time management
Lead on the upsell of additional services.
Grow a portfolio of new business customers for direct offering; a variety of fixed & flex products.
Liaise closely with direct customers service teams, ensuring successful handover processes.
Working with our in-house Tender team to manage upcoming and ongoing tenders/quotations to ensure deadlines are met and high levels of efficiency and accuracy are obtained.
About you:
Experience of working in the energy industry (B2B Sales)
Experience of working in a KPI and target driven work environment
Experience building a strong pipeline of opportunities and converting into sales
Ability to constantly develop product knowledge in a fast paced industry
Able to build rapport quickly and be influential with internal and external stakeholders, including key customer contacts
Ability to use different Closing Techniques successfully in order to complete sales
