Job description

We are working with a leading global developer, with over 5 GW of new projects in development across 7 key markets worldwide. They focus on the generation of clean energy, by means of development and construction of Solar (PV), Energy Storage (ES) and H2 plants. Our client is looking for a Junior Project Developer to join their growing Italian team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop solar greenfield projects from scratch to a Ready to Build stage: Manage the PLA obtaining in the established timing.

  • Maintain a permanent contact with the local authorities

  • Search for suitable terrains to develop the PV projects.

  • Direct contact with consultants or specialists for specific Project Development tasks. Work directly with them in order to achieve RTB on time.

  • Prepare and lead the preparation of applications for environmental, building, or all required permits to achieve Ready-to-Build status.

  • Liaise with Administration Department in order to ensure prompt payment of suppliers

  • Coordinate with and guide the Technical Department through all development stages and ensure full optimization of layout and production study.

  • Coordinate with the Procurement Department to prepare requests for proposals (RFPs).

  • Create budgets and manage project costs to stay within budget limits.

  • Lead or support negotiations involving land, services and interconnection agreements.

  • Supervise the work of subcontractors or consultants to ensure quality and conformance to specifications or budgets.

  • Provide verbal or written project status reports to project teams, management, subcontractors, customers, or owners.

  • Update schedules, estimates, forecasts, or budgets for solar projects.

  • Review or evaluate proposals or bids to make recommendations regarding awarding of contracts.

  • Manage environmental screening of early stage projects.

  • Inform of any changes in the regulations that may affect the development of the project.

Required experience:

  • Engineering, BS in Law or Economics.

  • At least 2 years of similar experience

  • High level of spoken and written English and Italian

  • Previous experience in a Power/ Renewable Energies/ PV developer company

  • Knowledge of the PV sector, regulations, policies, etc. in Italy.
