Investment Manager

Location: London (twice a week in the office)

Salary: £80-85k GBP

The Company:

TGRC are working with one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, primarily a developer, an operator and an owner of low-carbon energy assets and businesses, with a strategic focus on regulated electricity networks and renewable energy. More broadly they are involved in the generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity, the production, storage, distribution and supply of gas and in the provision of energy-related services. A sizeable portion of their capex budget has been allocated to solar and battery storage. Their target is to develop and energise at least 1.8GW of solar and battery storage assets by 2028 and more than 3GW by 2030.

Your Profile:

• Background in M&A, due diligence, or project development
• Understanding of the acquisition deal lifecycle, typical due diligence, governance, and legal documentation
• Understanding of financial valuation and returns
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to comfortably navigate investment financial models, developing scenario and sensitivity analyses
• Experience reviewing information in data rooms provided by sellers and identifying red flags in grid connection agreements, planning documents and property rights (heads of terms, option to lease, easements)
• Experience drafting offers and commercial heads of terms
• Understanding of key legal documentation such as an exclusivity agreement, share and purchase agreement, JV agreement, development services agreement, etc.
• Confident ability to instruct technical, legal, financial, and market/commercial advisers, and review their deliverables
• Experience in renewables, including solar and storage strongly preferred
• considering candidates with either financial or legal/paralegal background, who are interested in getting involved in transactions.
