The Green Recruitment Company are working alongside an energy and sustainability advisory which delivers sustainability solutions and services to corporations, cities, and governments across the globe.
The Role:
The International Energy Procurement Team Manager is in charge of managing and developing the Energy Analyst team to its full potential. They act as an escalation point for the procurement team which provides comprehensive support to Clients, Onboarding, Risk & Trading, Sales and Accounts Teams and is ultimately responsible for the procurement team delivery.
They are expert in all deregulated energy markets in EMEA with support and advice covering energy procurement services, budgets, non-energy charges, risk management, vPPA, PPA and all additional renewable energy products, by supplying product information, market analysis, pricing evaluation, and contract management.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Energy Procurement Team as per Consulting Services Director’s requirements
Implement a team structure that is functional to guarantee department’s delivery
Manage the implementation of correct mechanics for energy supply contracts, vPPA contracts, PPA contracts – check site lists and suppliers’ energy prices, support the bill checking team and report to clients on exposure, saving, cost variances, update all relevant databases etc
Manage the implementation of correct mechanics for non-energy costs within energy supply contracts and provide detailed and comprehensive client budgets
Support, monitor and analyse European natural gas and electricity markets for non-energy, tax and levy charges impacting budgets
Support, create, set and maintain a detailed European repository for non-energy costs
Support, create, maintain and share a thorough knowledge and understanding of all European regulatory energy markets
Understand the clients (pricing, demand, budgeting), create and support optimal products and services
Be part of a team with shared responsibility for transacting wholesale gas and electricity volumes
Required Skills or Experience:
Able to speak additional one or two European languages (French, German, Spanish, Dutch etc)
3+ years of team management experience
3+ years of international energy procurement experience
Proved project management skills – ability to manage competing client/supplier demands, liaise with energy suppliers and adhere to internal quality standards often to tight deadlines
