Job description

​TGRC is excited to have partnered with one of the largest renewable energy developers in Asia, headquartered in Singapore, in search of an Independent Board Director to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as best practices in governance.

  • Provide independent oversight and accountability to the board of directors, acting in the best interests of shareholders and stakeholders.

  • Participate in board committees, such as the Audit Committee, Compensation Committee, or Nominating & Governance Committee, as required.

  • Offer strategic insights and industry expertise to the board and executive leadership team on matters related to renewable energy, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions, board meetings, and discussions to help shape the organization's vision, mission, and long-term strategic direction.

  • Review and provide input on key strategic initiatives, investment opportunities, and business development plans to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.

  • Engage with shareholders, investors, regulators, and other key stakeholders to represent the organization's interests and promote transparency, accountability, and trust.

  • Foster positive relationships with external partners, including industry associations, government agencies, and community groups, to support the organization's goals and objectives.

Expectations:

  • Proven track record of serving as an independent board director, board member, or senior executive in the renewable energy industry or related sectors.

  • Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks, with a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship.

  • Excellent governance skills, including familiarity with corporate governance principles, board dynamics, and fiduciary responsibilities.

  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen, with the ability to assess complex issues and make informed decisions.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus, foster collaboration, and engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical leadership, with a focus on creating long-term value for shareholders and stakeholders.
