Job description
Position: HSE / EHS Manager - Onshore Wind Projects
Location: Western Saudi Arabia
Experience: Minimum 18 years industrial experience, must have at least 5 years in onshore wind construction projects
Background: Civil Engineering with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience, including Balance of Plant
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive HSE programs aligned with industry best practices, local regulations, and corporate standards.
Lead the EHS team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a culture of safety and sustainability across the project site.
Oversee the identification and evaluation of potential risks and hazards associated with the onshore wind project.
Ensure compliance with relevant EHS regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and assessments to identify and mitigate potential EHS risks.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for project staff, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers to integrate EHS considerations into project planning, design, and execution phases.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Establish emergency response plans and procedures to ensure swift and effective response to incidents.
Monitor and report EHS performance to project leadership and regulatory authorities.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by analyzing data, trends, and leading indicators.
Liaise with local communities and stakeholders to address concerns and build positive relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 15 years of EHS experience, with at least 5 years in onshore wind projects.
Strong EPC experience, including Balance of Plant (BoP) in renewable energy projects.
In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices within the renewable energy sector.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
