HR Manager

Job description

We are seeking an HR Manager to oversee all HR and administrative functions at our manufacturing plant in Indianapolis. This role will support a fast-paced environment, managing recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, and office operations. The HR Manager will work closely with plant leadership to ensure a well-organized, safe, and productive workplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Leadership: Lead HR efforts in a 24/7 manufacturing operation. Collaborate on workforce planning, employee relations, and organizational development. Implement HR policies aligned with corporate strategy and local laws.

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment for various roles, including international talent and visa processing. Develop strategies to attract qualified candidates.

  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive, inclusive work environment. Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and lead employee engagement initiatives.

  • Compliance & HR Operations: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain HRIS records and manage leave programs and attendance policies.

  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and develop programs for management, supervisors, and employees. Ensure compliance with training requirements.

  • Administrative Support: Oversee office management, visitor coordination, facility upkeep, and vendor relationships. Assist with travel, events, and document control.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.

  • 5-7+ years of HR experience, including 2+ years in manufacturing.

  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and recruiting.

  • Experience in manufacturing, solar, or similar industries.

  • Previous experience in administrative or facility support.
