Summary:

 

My client is a group of companies in the area of wind and photovoltaics park development, technical and commercial management of renewable energy parks, as well as operations and maintenance. The group employs around 300 employees and is active from Finland to Northern Africa.

 

The Role:

 The holding company at group level, is seeking a Head of Markets and Corporate Strategic Sales, based in the HQ in Germany.

 

The Individual:

Strategy setting and overseeing of international sales and BD activities

  • Strategically co-ordinate the sales and BD activities of all areas of activities, i.e. renewable energy project development, customised energy solutions, energy park management (technical and commercial management) services, operations and maintenance service, EPC activities
  • Strategically co-ordinate the sales and BD activities internationally and of all international entities
  • Target setting for different sales departments
  • Regular sales reviews of all sales activities
  • Continuously drive, monitor, and where needed improve performance of sales departments
  • Develop and align sales strategy, ensure adherence to agreed strategy
  • Implement key-account management to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent customer relationship management across different areas of activities and country markets
  • Identify and utilise cross-selling potentials
  • Provide market input to and support developing group strategy

 

Establish and oversee the new areas of business activities (business units)

  • Develop concept for and oversee implementation of sales and BD activities for Customised Energy Solutions unit and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) unit
  • Oversee sales/BD activities and personnel in the Customised Energy Solutions unit and EPC unit
  • Drive, together with business unit managers, the development of the business unit
  • Support further new business areas, where required

 

Maintain and establish international customer/investors network

  • Act as interface to financial investors on C-level
  • Maintain, and where needed expand, institutional financial investors network (renewable energy investors acquiring renewable energy parks)
  • Identify and establish network with additional investors for renewable energy projects in non-European/North American markets and high-risk markets

 

Renewable and financial markets intelligence

  • Continuously monitor market trend in the renewables field worldwide
  • Identify new potential markets
  • Identify new potential products and offerings
  • Continuously monitor developments regarding financial markets / financial investors
