Job description

Job title: Head of Renewable Energy Finance and M&A

Location: Paris, Île-de-France, France (Hybrid)

The Head of Renewable Energy Finance and M&A will be reporting to the EVP of Finance and Corporate Strategy, you will be in charge of all project finance-related workstreams and M&A activities for Green H2 and Power-to-X projects globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with potential lenders to build relationships and sound the market;

  • Looking to optimize structures and funding options;

  • Assisting the business development team in negotiating project contracts (PPA, EPC, O&M) and ensuring their bankability;

  • Negotiating term sheets and finance documentation;

  • Overseeing financial modelling;

  • Managing due diligence process (technical, legal, insurance, tax & accounting);

  • Coordinating M&A efforts (preparation of marketing materials, modelling, negotiation of contracts, execution, etc) at the project and/or corporate levels.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in economics, finance or engineering.

  • 7-10 years of experience in project finance and/or project M&A in the energy sector within banks, investment funds and/or energy companies and developers.

  • Fluent in English & French, with experience working in multi-cultural environments. Spanish is a plus.

  • Deep understanding of the financing of complex infrastructure projects.

  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.

  • Collaborative and engaging team member with good communication skills and a pragmatic approach.

  • Capable of advancing multiple work streams simultaneously, autonomy
