​TGRC is excited to partner with a global leader in the renewable energy transition, with a diverse portfolio of projects across Wind, Solar, and Battery in Australia. Our client is looking for a talented Head of Land Acquisition to lead their pipeline of green energy projects from greenfield through to construction.

Role Description:

As Head of Land Acquisition, you will lead greenfield project development and shape business strategy whilst securing land tenure, conducting site feasibility analysis, and community engagement. You will have excellent relationship building skills, project management expertise and a strong understanding of the Australian energy market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver insight to greenfield development strategy and build a pipeline leveraging current market drivers, influence of Renewable Energy Zones, and power system planning.

  • Develop, maintain and deliver a business case for each development project.

  • Plan feasibility studies: onboarding relevant consultants/contractors for environmental surveys, wind monitoring, and energy assessments.

  • Obtaining third-party consents and leasing with Landowners/communities to obtain building rights for renewable energy projects.

  • Direct and support the Development Manager and maintain effective communication with both external stakeholders and the project team.

  • Initiate early stage grid connection process.

Your Profile:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as engineering, environmental science, business or finance.

  • 10+ years working on wind and/or solar renewable energy projects.

  • Experience as a Development Manager in Australia with a diverse project portfolio.

  • Development process expertise; including, site identification, community engagement, constraints analysis, grid connection and permitting process in Australia.

  • Experience preparing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and the development application process.

  • Highly Experienced in negotiating and securing land tenure.

  • Exceptional relationship building and communication skills.

  • Australian Drivers License.
