Requirements:
10+ years of experience in trading, market operations, or a comparable real-time commercial environment involving complex operational processes and systems.
10+ years of leadership experience, including direct people management and leadership of managers or team leads.
Strong understanding of operational workflows that support commercial trading or portfolio management activities.
Proven track record of delivering operational transformation, process improvement, and efficiency initiatives in complex organisations.
Experience operating in large or matrixed organisations, including defining strategic priorities and translating them into operational execution.
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Fluent in written and spoken English with professional proficiency in standard business productivity tools.
Key Accountabilities:
Lead and develop high-performing operational teams supporting continuous commercial activity, including designing effective staffing models, operational procedures, and escalation frameworks.
Oversee the operational integration and lifecycle management of new portfolio components, business activities, or operational capabilities, ensuring systems, processes, and monitoring frameworks are correctly configured and tested.
Ensure operational platforms and supporting processes remain accurate, scalable, and continuously improved through automation, data quality management, and workflow optimisation.
Maintain effective coordination with external counterparties, infrastructure providers, and service partners to ensure accurate operational data exchange and reliable operational performance.
Design, implement, and continuously refine operational processes across multiple functions, including system interfaces, external platform interactions, monitoring frameworks, and issue resolution procedures for business-critical activities.
Translate strategic business priorities into operational capabilities, including the development of performance metrics and reporting structures that monitor efficiency, reliability, and risk management.
Ensure evolving regulatory or governance requirements are reflected in operational procedures, controls, and documentation, maintaining strong compliance and audit readiness.
Lead the response to operational incidents by establishing clear decision frameworks, structured escalation channels, and post-incident review processes.
Foster strong collaboration across internal commercial, analytical, operational, and support functions to ensure operational readiness and successful delivery of cross-functional initiatives.
