​Job Title: Grid Manager / Head of Grid - Renewable Energy Projects

Location: United Kingdom

Salary: Up to £110,000 + Bonus

We are currently working with a leading private equity fund who is seeking an experienced Grid Manager or Head of Grid to join their team. Our client is a reputable investment company dedicated to the development and operation of renewable energy projects across the UK.

As the Grid Manager or Head of Grid, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the grid connection and operation of renewable energy projects from conception to completion. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders, including network operators, regulators, and project managers to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Key responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Developing and implementing grid connection strategies and managing the grid connection process for renewable energy projects.

  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements related to grid connection and operation.

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance on grid connection and operation matters to project teams and stakeholders.

  • Managing the grid operation of renewable energy projects, including monitoring and managing power flows, voltage levels, and grid stability.

  • Managing relationships with network operators and regulators to ensure successful grid operation and compliance with regulatory requirements.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering or a related field.

  • At least 10 years' experience in a grid management or electrical engineering role within the renewable energy industry.

  • Strong technical expertise in grid connection and operation, with a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and network operator processes.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
