​Grid Connection Manager - Wind & Solar PV Developer

Location: Stockholm, Sweden or Helsinki, Finland

TGRC is currently working alongside one of Europe’s leading developers of renewable energy projects. They plan, build, operate and maintain wind and solar farms as well as hybrid energy, battery storage, and hydrogen projects worldwide. To continue the journey of speeding up the transition to 100% green energy, they are seeking a Grid Connection Manager.

As a Grid Connection Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful integration of solar PV and wind projects into the grid infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the grid connection process, from initial planning to final commissioning. Your expertise and knowledge in electrical engineering and grid regulations will be critical in securing and optimizing grid connections for renewable projects.

The Role:

• Conduct thorough analysis and assessment of the grid infrastructure and electrical systems to identify viable grid connection points for renewable projects.

• Negotiating, coordinating and maintain strong relationships with relevant grid operators, utilities, and regulatory authorities to secure grid connection agreements and permits.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure grid connection requirements are met and integrated into project plans.

• Develop and manage project schedules and budgets.

• Oversee the design and engineering of grid connection infrastructure.

• Coordinate and facilitate grid connection works, including equipment installation, commissioning, and testing.

• Monitor and assess grid connection performance and address any issues or challenges that may arise.

• Stay updated on the latest developments in grid regulations, policies, and standards.

• Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the grid connection process.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in grid connection management or a related role, preferably within the solar PV industry.

• Understanding of electrical engineering principles and grid infrastructure.

• In-depth knowledge of grid regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.

• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
