Summary:

A multinational renewable energy developer with an impressive global portfolio of projects has an ambitious target for their growth into the Australian sector over the coming years and they are now seeking a Grid Connection Manager to aid them with their growing portfolio.

As Grid Connection Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the companies’ grid connection processes. You will be a vital part of the businesses’ engagement with internal and external stakeholders across their grid connection procedures and applications.

 

Your Role:

You will be responsible for the following:

·        You will provide technical support across the business for connection matters of renewable projects under construction

·        Oversee the technical relationship with various partners for grid compliance

·        Oversee the external contract engineering for issues surrounding grid connection

·        Analyse grid code requirements for renewable plant connection

·        Coordinate engineering requirements

·        Provide technical support for PPA management

·        Maintain good relationships with AEMO and DNSPs and TNSPs

·        Coordinate all engineering requirements with DNSPs and TNSPs

·        Supply/verification of required documentation required by AEMO

·        Provide, review and correct equipment specifications

·        Provide engineering design review and validations for grid works internally

 

Required knowledge, skills and qualifications:

·        A relevant engineering degree in a relevant subject

·        Knowledge of power systems engineering in T&D, substations and renewable energy generation

·        An understanding of AEMO and Australian T&D owner structure

·        Knowledge of interconnection procedures and experience in connection applications

·        Experience in MV and HV engineering connection works

·        Familiarity of SCADA system designs

·        Knowledge and experience of power system modelling in particular Digsilent Power Factory

·        Minimum 5 years engineering background with specific experience in electrical power systems engineering
