Summary: 

An international renewable energy developer with a large Australian presence and impressive track record are seeking a Grid Connection Manager for their Melbourne operations. With a healthy project pipeline (1GW+) in Australia and positive financial performances internationally over the last 12 months, this is a brilliant long-term opportunity to join a stable, well respected outfit in the renewable energy space in Australia  

 

Your responsibilities:

As Grid Connection Manager, you will be required to manage grid scale renewable projects and provide grid support to the development and projects teams.

Your responsibilities will include concept design and grid connection applications to obtain grid connection and compliance with AEMO and NSPs during project commissioning stages

As Grid Connection Manager you will hold full responsibility for the project engineering activities administered to you whilst having the full support of the wider engineering team.

 

Other Responsibilities: 

  • GPS studies and connection management of consultants
  • Manage power system studies
  • Liaison and negation with AEMO and NSPs to resolve grid connection issues
  • Provide support with project proposals and submissions
  • Preparation of concept drawings and specifications
  • Review of connection designs against project scope
  • Assist wider company teams including project managers and project developers

 

Skills, qualifications and experience required from you:

  • Previous Australian grid connection experience (5+ years minimum)
  • Relevant academic qualifications (Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Degree)
  • Experience in facilitating Grid Connections
  • Full understanding of GPS
  • Eligibility to live and work in Australia
  • Wide knowledge of NER and Australian electricity standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
