Job description

The Role:

Your responsibility will be to lead the marketing of renewable energy from projects owned and operated by our client.

You will also participate in the origination, pricing and structuring of power purchase agreement contracts, together with the Head of Power Markets, as well as your colleagues within the wider Power Markets team. Furthermore, you will learn to monitor regulations relevant to green energy markets across Europe.

Lead the marketing activities related to sales of green electricity from our clients projects, including:

  • Preparation of marketing materials

  • Organising and executing marketing campaigns for green electricity

  • Cold calling and following up potential customers and partners

  • Participating in conferences and organising client events for our client’s power markets team

  • Leading on responses to Requests for Proposal related to Corporate Power Purchase Agreements across Europe

  • Help to originate and maintain relationships with both corporate and utility counterparties as well as corporate PPA advisors, GoO brokers and battery optimisers

  • Monitor regulations related to green energy in Europe, and help collate and organise this information for the power markets team and our client’s senior leadership team more broadly

  • Work closely with the rest of the power markets team to optimise offtake structures (by being the “voice of the client”), and take part in developing PPA strategies as part of investment valuation and approval processes

 

The Individual

  • An outgoing, natural salesperson that truly enjoys working with people and solving their

  • problems

  • Some experience from managing customer relationships, organising events and/or selling

  • large-value contracts would be advantageous

  • An ability and desire to work in a small, geographically dispersed, expert team that covers a

  • large number of investments and markets

  • Strong communication skills, with high capacity to manage multiple stakeholders and work as part

  • of a team with multiple projects going on simultaneously

  • An understanding and an interest in European power and broader global energy markets would be

  • advantageous
