Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
Manages activities related to procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, advertising and other materials
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- issue (RFP) for Balance of Plant (BOP) procurements
- Manage suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base
- Knowledgeable in gas turbine and steam turbine auxiliary commodity, specifically GT/ST enclosures, GT Air intake system, platforms and handrails, Fuel Gas heaters
- Handle procurement activities including procurement of capital equipment and new projects;
- Handle BOP and procurement issues as they arise
- Manage records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories;
- Assess global sourcing data to make decisions that support company direction and growth
- Assess bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority
- Verify vendor compliance to contract requirements
- Communicate effectively with all groups and organizations
- Manage orders and contractual requirements of advanced complexity and advanced commercial and/or financial risk
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and orders simultaneously and prioritize work
- Coordinate the activities in this process
- knowledgeable in the organization’s business practices and issues while handling requests and providing customer service, guidance, and advanced support for products and/or programs
- Capability to perform work assignments on a wide variety of tasks
- Identify unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others
- Review the performance of suppliers for quality, delivery, and reliability
- Build strong relationships with suppliers
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience
- Bachelor Degree
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings, specifications, and technical procedures
- Ability to make calculations such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Excellent problem solving skills with situations that have limited standardization
- Computer skills (processing, spreadsheets, and databases)
- Effective at communicating job tasks, goals, and projects
