Job description
Renewable Energy GIS/CAD Technician.
Location: South East of the UK
Salary: DOE
TGRC is working with a leading renewable energy company who are looking to recruit a Renewable Energy GIS/CAD Technician.
Responsibilities:
Layout designing and creation of both planning level & legal drawings of utility-scale megawatt range Solar PV & BESS projects.
Relevant experience working on multiple projects in the 30+MW range would be advantageous.
Identifying new leads using GIS and following the journey with the UK grid lead & land team until the lead progresses to an active project.
Undertake initial yield assessment of potential solar sites.
Being the go-to technical and design expertise person for any support required in the development of projects.
Engaging with the DNO post-acceptance to deliver technical designs and drawings as required.
Keeping abreast technically with current developments in solar PV panels, mounting structures, inverters, battery storage system types etc. to incorporate within initial layouts.
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in utility-scale solar farm development, design, and construction cycles.
Experience in all aspects of the design of multi-megawatt Solar PV installations using AutoCAD, PVSyst, and PVCase.
Proficient with MS Office and comfortable at creating models on excel to assist with your designs/assessment.
Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, or related discipline
