Financial Controller - Energy & Infrastructure

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a leading infrastructure fund focused on the renewable, energy efficency and core infrastructure sectors.


Working closely with the CFO & CEO for the business, this key hire will be responsible for the fund management accounting, which includes the monitoring of asset performance and assessment of new investment opportunities - to make sure investor returns are safeguarded and as expected.

Key responsibilities in the role:

  • Reporting on current investment performance

  • Analysing new investments and performing financial due diligence on potential projects

  • Production of annual fund statutory accounts and subsequent audit

  • Interrogation of financial models (supplied by project accountants) and collation of investment reports to monitor and evaluate project performance.

  • Working closely with the asset management team to deal with operational issues, report on asset performance

  • Provide business partnering role to the wider commercial and deal teams


Essential experience for the role:

  • Qualified Accountant with strong experience at a senior level;

  • Experience in fund management within the renewable energy / infrastructure sector

  • Strong commercial experience gained within a Fund environment/ Financial Services;

  • Ability to partner with the business at a senior level in implementing long term strategy and improving business performance;

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to drive and influence key decisions;

  • Strong commercial awareness to deliver value
