Job description

OVERVIEW:

Our client, an Investment Manager within the renewables sector, is actively looking for a Renewable Energy Asset Financial Controller, to join them and collaborate on projects under development, under construction and in operation. You will have the opportunity to interact with an international team, while working in a fast-growing and challenging environment.

CONTROLLING:

  • Support in financial analysis focused on projects under development, under construction and in operation;

  • Monitoring of cash flows, and economic and financial status of the group SPVs and holding companies;

  • Support in data collection for and drafting of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting and analysis;

  • Support in drafting monthly forecast, annual budget and long term strategic plans

  • Cost control/analysis by project and on a consolidated/sub-holding level;

  • Cooperate in the deployment of the new reporting tools and the adoption of the asset management software;

  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly management accounts, forecast and budget, including cash monitoring at SPV level.

  • Monthly monitoring of costs, revenues, margins, finance and operational KPIs, and preparation of analysis of differences among budget, forecast and business plan;

  • Support in managing relationships with external auditors;

  • Constantly contribute to the efficiency and rationalization of information flow to and from other functions (business lines partner, accounting, operations, …);

  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures of the owner of the projects;

  • Active participation in transversal projects of relevance to the business.

ACCOUNTING:

  • Registration and control of passive invoices;

  • Management and control of active invoices (energy sale);

  • Preparation of files and registration of supplier payments;

  • Assist the external accounting team in the preparation and drafting of the company's annual financial statements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration/Economics and Management;

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills;

  • Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken;

  • General accounting knowledge: bookkeeping skills; IFRS and ITA GAAP accounting principles knowledge;

  • Minimum 5/7 years of experience in comparable positions, preferably within the same sector/industry.
