Job description
An amazing opportunity to join a leading Renewable Energy fund in their newly created Glasgow Office. Our client is looking for a Finance Manager. This is a position that plays an essential part in the accounting and finance day to day activities within this fast-paced and growing business. The role will take full ownership of the financial deliverables for the portfolio of 100+ companies while taking responsibility for the regular reporting and quality of output of the financial information and other management information.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the financial reporting requirements for a portfolio of energy clients
- Liaise with external auditors when necessary
- Owning key balance sheet lines, reconciliations and processes as part of month end responsibilities.
- Taking ownership for the year-end reporting including consolidation of various groups across the portfolio
- Liaising with tax advisers for the portfolio’s corporate tax affairs
- Management of the less experienced members of the team
- Delegating tasks as necessary to suitable members of the team
- High quality monthly and ad-hoc reporting to the wider teams using Power BI and presentations
- Analysis of portfolio companies as required to convey and present important performance KPIs to management and the wider business
- In depth understanding of the assets, their performance, and how significant events can affect their valuations
- Liaising with technical, operations and data teams to provide high quality commentary on portfolio performance
Key Requirements
- Chartered Accountant with ideally relevant experience in asset management, preferably the energy sector
- 2-3 years PQE Experience
- Enthusiastic and motivated team player
- Problem solver with a forward-thinking mindset
- Flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
- Resilient, enthusiastic and hard working with strong communication skills
- High level Excel knowledge
- Previous experience of lender and debt reporting
